Often much more than feeling sad or low

Depression is often much more than feeling sad and having a low mood.  It can be unrelenting and involve a loss of interest in life. Depression impacts how one functions.  Causes of depression can be biological, psychological or social, or a combination of all three.  Brain function can be impacted.

Symptoms include changes in sleep, appetite, energy level, concentration, daily behaviour or self-esteem. Depression can also be associated with thoughts of suicide.  Treatment usually includes medication and to be able to talk about it.  I provide a safe environment where you can talk about your depression, the circumstances surround your depression, and where you can seek answers.
